Holland should have included himself in the trade. A box of stale popcorn would have been equal to his overall value.

Good deal all around I'd say. I particularly like Detroit picking up half the salary.

BTW, these are the first/only draft picks Hextall has traded since he became the GM 4 years ago...

What a departure of thinking that has been from the last 20 years....quite refreshing.

I see nothing about compensation if his rights are moved at the draft. If he plays well, it gives the Flyers a lot of options come draft day.

Can Tanner please provide facts about a team who lost their starting goalie and just gave up the season instead of getting a new one via trade?

He is even trolling about things people dont care about

Good trade for Philly. Getting a rental goalie for a playoff push in exchange for mid level picks.

Tanner is now yapping about how more teams need to get a really good 1b.

It wasn't long ago he was saying the best tandem in the NHL was Carey Price and whoever his back up is, be it Montoya or a box of Raisin Bran, because backups don't matter.

Well really when you had Price until his recent injuries that was true.

Thanks Dragon!!!

Man, that was the best hockey ever!! Reminded me of how much of a wussy Roy was! He could have easily joined the melee to stand up for his players, but didn’t, then when the officials are restraint Hextall, he “acts” like wants to fight. Flamer!!

Two toughest goalies I’ve ever seen brawl were Felix Potvin and Ron Hextall. Fun times!!

Thanks again!!

It's Ken Holland, what do you expect from him? He's been out of touch & senile since 2010.
